Erica Mena announced on Monday that she is quitting the VH1 series “Love & Hip Hop: New York.” Following the series’ season finale, the model and TV personality took to Instagram to tell her fans, “Tonight is indeed my last show.”
Sharing a photo of herself wearing a gorgeous wedding gown and veil, Mena wrote, “Four years ago became #MenaMonday. I let the world in and it’s been a crazy ride since. I’ve always been open about who I am & my relationships just because I know my story was meant to be told. I’ve made many mistakes and I get judge[d] harshly. Thank God I’m as tough and bold as I am because the truth is many are like me.”
She continued, “I have fan base that now become my family! I can’t thank you all enough for following & riding this ride. You are all appreciated… I know it won’t be the same after tonight’s show but I do know that no matter what I’m always going to be Open and Real with you all. This chapter has ended but the real deal is the journey has just begun. Tonight is indeed my last show. Good luck to everyone. Wish you all the best.”
Mena has hinted in the past that she planned to step away from the VH1 series after she marries rapper Bow Wow. The two have not revealed a wedding date, but Mena said they will tie the knot sometime in April. Shortly after Mena announced her “Love & Hip Hop” exit, Bow Wow posted on Facebook that it was “a blessing to watch [her] transition.” How do you feel about Mena quitting “Love & Hip Hop: New York”?
